One Final Touch; Chicago House AC Signs John Requejo, Jr.

The House Inks One More Defender In Advance Of Inaugural Home Match

CHICAGO, IL (August 20th, 2021) - Chicago House Athletic Club, Chicago’s new professional soccer team, announced the signing of one player to their active roster. Defender John Requejo, Jr. will officially join the House in advance of the club's Inaugural Home Match on Saturday August 21st, 2021 at 7:35pm at SeatGeek Stadium in Bridgeview, IL. 

John Requejo, Jr. joins the House after spending the 2019-2020 with LA Galaxy II, where he made a total of 36 appearances. Prior to competing with the Galaxy, Requejo, Jr. spent time with Tijuana Xolos where he made 13 total appearances and Dorado de Sinoloa, where he made five appearances. 

Requejo, Jr. has National Team experience with the United States, competing in the U-20 World Cup with Team USA, as well as seeing time in the World Cup Qualifiers at the U-20 and U-17 ages. He began his tenure with the US National Team during his U-14 season.

"We are looking to boost our back line. John is a left back with good ball control and a good eye for passing out of the back," says Chicago House AC Head Coach & Technical Director. "His service into our attacking players will be crucial to create goal scoring opportunities. Playing for LA Galaxy II, he knows what a professional environment should look like. I feel he can help and show the young guys what it will take to grow in this game."
